2 Corinthians 5:14-15

For Christ's love compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all, and therefore all died. And he died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for him who died for them and was raised again.

Dearest Savior,

I thank you for the dorm food we eat, so we will cherish our parent's home-cooked food.
For close, clean, and available restrooms, for lecture halls away from the sun, for accessible outlets and internet.

I thank you for the health of today, my parents, grandparents, friends,
the comfort of knowing you'll be there when they fade. I thank you for hands that type, bones unbroken, skins not torn, joints that move, heart that beats, brain that dreams, lungs that breathe, and soul that feels.

I thank you for loving me with all my flaws, for forgiving me in totality.
I thank you for blessing me even when I curse you, even when I run from you.
I thank you for coming after me, knowing where I am headed if you didn't.

I thank you for the failures you set up for me to humble my pride.
for hopelessness to show your greatness,
for heartbreak to show your ineffable love,
for memory to remember your great works.

Help me to remain faithful and forever grateful, for you anointed my head and my cup overflows.
In your Son's name we pray,
Amen.
